An Edinburgh-bound Flybe flight was among those disrupted due to fears over potentially "contaminated" bottles of water.
The airline has apologised to customers for any inconvenience. The bottled water affected was supplied by catering partners and was for crew consumption only.
The issue caused some disruption to flights on Wednesday evening, and the BBC reports that an Edinburgh-bound service from Cardiff was among those hit, with passengers delayed three hours.
A spokesperson for Flybe said that the health and safety of all customers and crew is their number one priority, and all possibly affected bottles have been removed and replaced.
Their statement said: "Flybe was advised yesterday that some bottled water, supplied by its catering partners for crew consumption only, has been recalled by the main distributors of the recognised branded product as a precaution due to possible microbiological contamination.
"We thoroughly assessed the situation and took precautionary measures, including the immediate removal and replacement of all possibly affected bottled water.
"We apologise for any inconvenience experienced due to the limited disruption to our evening flights. The health and safety of our customers and crew are at all times our number one priority."
