Bookmakers are confident that Edinburgh looks 'likely' to snow this Christmas, slashing the odds to just 2-1 for snow next week.
According to Coral, Edinburgh is now the "most likely" city to get "snow on the big day" in the whole of the UK.
Coral are also predicting odds of 3 -1 for Newcastle, 4-1 for Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham, and 5-1 for London when it comes to securing a white Christmas.
Coral's Harry Aitkenhead: "We've had some very wet weather this month already and with the run up to Christmas set to be soaking, we now make this December odds on to be our wettest ever.
"The wet weather hasn't dampened punters spirits for bets on a White Christmas, with the usual festive flutters coming in.
