Edinburgh blacksmith Kev Paxton's greatest works revisited as Money For Nothing returns

Star Edinburgh blacksmith Kev Paxton will return to TV screens in the new series of hit BBC show Money For Nothing this week.

Kev's striking artworks have previously been featured on the programme, and he'll be back on television creating something special from 3.45pm on Wednesday, April 21.

Kev, who is based at Ratho, told Edinburgh Live he's created around seven new pieces for series ten, which will air on weekdays throughout the coming months.

Money For Nothing sees Sarah Moore, Jacqui Joseph and JJ Chalmers hunt down discarded items at recycling centres before passing them on to some of the UK's best makers and menders – including Kev – before they are reworked into exquisite art pieces and sold for profit.

Kev always sees a huge spike in enquiries from the public around the times episodes air, and he's confident people will be impressed with what they come up with in Wednesday's show.

K Paxton Blacksmith was set up in 1999 however they've hit headlines in recent years for the ArtFe side of the business which has seen the team create all manner of impressive sculptures. Among Kev's favourite pieces are the Wreckless Wullie and 'Rabbie' the Clydesdale.

We reported on Edinburgh Live last year how they'd also crafted a stunning thistle from scrap metal which had been installed outside the Market Street hotel in the capital.

Here's a look at some of the other pieces Kev and his hard working team have been responsible for in recent months.
