Edinburgh Biscuit Factory beer garden to host final party before closing this week

An Edinburgh beer garden has announced they will be closing after serving up thousands of pints since lockdown.

The Free Lane Bar at the Biscuit Factory will be shutting up shop on Sunday evening (September 26) after a successful run as a popular outdoor venue.

With the winter months approaching, the Leith venue explained that it was time to turn their focus back inside as they line up a number of events for the colder seasons.

The bar was one of many to reopen as soon as restrictions allowed, with the outdoor space used as a beer garden throughout most of the pandemic.

Speaking on social media, the bar said: "We have had a great few months celebrating being open again with you all at our lane bar! As we see the return of events and colder days drawing in - like all good things in life - the lane bar must come to an end!

"We have an amazing closing day planned for tomorrow with something on offer for everybody."

Running from 11am-7pm, the first few hours of the final event will see kids workshops, creative sessions and juice making stations pop up around the bar.

Then from 3pm, a number of live music acts will take to the stage to entertain visitors, as well as a number of cocktails, beers and other drinks on offer at the bar.

Finally, local DJ Harry Crawley is expected to end the night with a set before the bar closes up for good.
