Edinburgh has been ranked as the friendliest city in the UK, according to a new study.
Parkdean Resorts investigated the 50 of the top cities and towns in the country and ranked them by their sense of community.
It calculated this based on a number of factors such as happiness, sense of safety, the number of local businesses, the number of community activities and the number of local Facebook groups.
As reported by the Daily Record, the Scottish capital came out on top ahead of Glasgow, often considered to be the friendlier of the two cities.
Glasgow placed fourth in the top ten, behind Exeter and Oxford but ahead of Bournemouth, York, Canterbury, Northampton, Stafford and Cambridge.

Both Glasgow and Edinburgh placed higher than any other city in terms of safety, though no other Scottish cities placed in the top 20 of the overall rankings.
A spokesperson for Parkdean Resorts said: "Coming in as the top UK city overall for its friendliness and sense of community is Edinburgh in Scotland with a community index score of 360.
"The Scottish capital is steeped in history and culture, but budding residents may not know that they have the strongest sense of community than any other city in the UK.
"Edinburgh scored higher than any other city for community activities at 1,151 meaning new movers will have plenty of opportunities to meet the locals.
"The city also scored highly for safety with just 124 incidents in the past 12 months and high for local businesses with 998 in the area."
