Edinburgh's Portobello Beach has surfed past the competition and been found to be Scotland's most popular beach in 2021.
With its miles of lustrous sands and swim-friendly water, as well as its close proximity to the city centre, it's easy to see why it racked up more Google search results than the other shores in Scotland, according to holiday search engine Holidu.
Locals and visitors to the beach are also treated to its promenade, along which there are shops restaurants, bars, and even a couple of sporting events.
As reported by the Mirror, to determine the most popular picks Holidu investigated which Scottish beaches have been seeing the most online interest from potential holidaymakers over the last year.
Portobello Beach wasn't even the only Edinburgh shore to make the list - Cramond Beach also made an appearance in the top 10.

Though smaller than other shores on the list, visitors to Cramond are treated to beautiful ocean views.
Looking out of Edinburgh, second place went to the white sanded Luskentyre Beach on the Isle of Harris, a longtime favourite spot for birdwatchers.
Another beach that interested holidaymakers was Sandwood Bay, which took the bronze medal in the rankings.
This remote beach in Sutherland is always popular with adventurers, and not just because of its remote location that means you're unlikely to find big crowds in the area. The bay is also surrounded by myths and legends, spanning everything from tales of ghosts and shipwrecks to mermaid sightings.
