An Edinburgh based DJ is teaming up with Charlie Sloth on a quest to find the very best new Scottish talent.
Ben Kaelin, aka DJ Prospect, is joining the internationally renowned presenter on a mission to bring more Scottish talent to the forefront of the international stage.
The 31-year-old has risen up through the Scottish club scene to build up quite the reputation on the DJ decks. He is now one of the most sought after names in the industry, playing alongside the likes of Snoop Dogg, Drake and Eminem.
Now the DJ is looking for successors, becoming the Head A&R at Sloth's label Grimey Limey, which a label throygh Warner Records and Downtown Music Publishing.
Charlie's enthusiasm to bring the undiscovered into the limelight has contributed to the global success of the UK based genres grime and UK rap.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live, DJ Prospect said: "I would say that I am the posterboy for Scottish DJs. I've been at the forefront of the Scottish Music scene, and then going on to play slots on Charlie Sloth's show on BBC 1Xra. I also hosted a 1Xtra Scottish takeover alongside DJ Target last year.
"Me and Charlie want to have a global focus but I would like to find some fresh Scottish talent to put into the limelight."
DJ Prospect also said that there is no genre barrier at the label, looking for those who can sing a varied amount and can also write hits for pop, house and dance music.
"Good music is good music", he said. "The sky is the limit for these young musicians, all eyes are currently on Scotland - this is the time that people will remember for years to come."
