Edinburgh bar launches new gin and tonic delivery service

The team behind a popular Edinburgh gin bar have launched a new G & T delivery service in the capital.

James Sutherland, the owner of 56 North, explained that in the absence of local pubs being open he knew there was a growing demand for quality gin and decided to create a new bespoke service to cater for gin fans across the capital.

The www.gindrop.co.uk website, which offers the UK's top gins such as the ever popular Isle of Harris and Lind and Lime, also includes a selection of beers and mixers.

Drinks fans can also choose from a selection of bundles that means they can mix and match their spirits, beers and mixers.

James explained that initially the service will only be available for Edinburgh postcodes but could be expanded in future, he said: "The team at 56 North set up the new service to allow people in the Edinburgh area to get great craft gin bundles during lockdown while the bars are temporarily shut."

The gin expert added that the "safe home delivery” service would be free for all orders over £30 from postcodes EH1-17.

He added that they were aiming to ensure all orders were delivered within 24 hours.
