An Edinburgh bar has installed a “lager lane” to try and eradicate queuing for Scotland fans watching tomorrow’s Euro 2020 qualifier at home to Cyprus.
The Hampden match will be new boss Steve Clarke’s first in charge since taking over from Alex McLeish.
The Scots are seeking to get back on track after an embarrassing opening defeat away to Kazakhstan before struggling to a 2-0 win over whipping boys San Marino.
But there’s a renewed sense of optimism since Clarke took the reigns, and fans will likely be out in numbers to watch the game and have a few pints.
Scott’s of Rose Street are seeking to make it a seamless process for their customers by installing a “lager lane” at the bar.
They’ve teamed up with McEwan’s lager and have come up with the concept. Those using the lane will receive priority access (much like those who have paid extra when boarding a plane) to a hand-poured pint of McEwans’ lager.
The lane will open on Saturday 8 June and remain in place until Tuesday 11, when Scotland travel to face group favourites Belgium.
