Edinburgh bar and restaurant reveals exciting plans to use 'socially distanced ski cable cars'

Much of Scotland's central belt hospitality may be closed down for the time-being, but that hasn't stopped locals getting hyped over new plans from an Edinburgh restaurant.

Pictures shared by RoomFood on social media, show ski gondolas being imported 'from the French Alps' to McLarens on the Corner in Morningside.

Locals say they 'can't wait to book' after spotting the images of the recycled cable cars which have been given an impressive makeover.

The post reads: "Nearly 1500km, from the French Alps, to Morningside - Edinburgh. Six recycled ski gondolas have descended into their new home with fresh upholstery, twinkly lights, wheels and a table. #niceolation."

Locals responded with anticipation over the new plans, with one local commenting: "Amazing what a great idea when can we start to book?"
