Edinburgh banknote firm which sells paper money through eBay up for sale

An Edinburgh banknote business which sells paper money from across the world through eBay is seeking a new owner.

The firm, which is said to have an "incredibly successful eBay store" has an asking price of £80,000, with a turnover of £82,589. The store is responsible for 75 per cent of the company's income, and has more than 17,000 five-star reviews and 100 per cent positive feedback.

Sellers Intelligent Business Partners say the net profit is available on request to anyone enquiring about purchasing.

The business is described as being a "specialist seller of mint condition modern world banknotes and paper money". It was established in 2011 and is said to have grown steadily, and now has an excellent reputation with a "loyal customer base".

Intelligent Business Partners add: "They prioritise offering a large range of quality world banknotes at great value prices. The extensive array of stock includes paper banknotes, polymer banknotes, and specimen banknotes."

The current stock is estimated to be worth £170,000, and there are almost 600 customers registered on the company's database.

The online business can be relocated and has so far only been run on a part-time bases, with the sellers saying there is "huge potential for growth" with "low overhead costs".
