Edinburgh Asda selling designer Gucci clothes in stores for as little as £12

To coincide with the release of the new film House of Gucci, Asda have announced that they are selling designer Gucci clothes for as little as £12 - but there's a catch.

Shoppers looking to get a taste of the glitz and glamour featured in the film will need to find the items first, as they have been hidden in Asda stores across the country.

The Gucci products will be pre-loved and there will only be 30 available, so shoppers will need to be quick if they hope to bag any.

The unusual collaboration between Gucci and George at Asda will run alongside the new Ridley Scott movie, which stars Lady Gaga as a woman who marries into the famous family in a true story that eventually ends in murder.

With the country gripped by Gucci-mania, lucky customers will be able to buy products from the glamorous Italian label including shirts, jackets and dresses.

Overall, the items have a collective value of £4,000, as reported by the Daily Record.

Steve Lynam, the managing director of Preloved Wholesaler LTD said: "Our partnership with George at Asda is one that we are extremely proud of, so we’re delighted to be able to offer their customers the chance to pick up something they have always dreamed of owning in their local supermarket.”

Shoppers can already buy vintage pieces in 50 supermarkets across the UK as part of the brands "George For Good" commitment, which encourages shoppers to make more sustainable choices when it comes to fashion.

Lauren Mallins from George at Asda added: "Whether you are a lover of vintage or just want to make more sustainable choices, our hand-picked PreLoved pieces are always a treasure trove of gems and now Gucci is adding to our customers’ reasons to shop with us."

If you are lucky enough to get bag yourself one of the hidden vintage items, then Asda encourages you to share your finds on social media with the hashtags #Preloved and #HouseofGucci.
