A new coffee shop is due to open in Portobello this year as two small businesses come together.
This week, the owners of 'Tanifiki' announced they would be opening up shop on the High Street, in a fusion of their two companies.
The new cafe is a joint venture from Ben, of Raki Coffee and Jonathan, owner of the Tani Modi brunch bar in the New Town, who have come together to provide a "very unique coffee experience".
In recent weeks, the pair have been seen working on their new outlet, which is currently in the process of being transformed from the old Casual Clothing and Workwear shop into something very different.
Posting on social media, Ben and Jonathan introduced the shop, and also added that they will also be serving up cakes and pastries from other local bakers and small businesses.
In a post, they said: "As you may have noticed us working on our new premises on the high street, my self Ben (@rafikicoffee_ ) and Jonathan (@tani_modi ) have teamed up to open a coffee bar and roastery on the high street where we will provide you a very unique coffee experience.
"We will also serve up local pastries and cakes from up and coming bakers, as we believe in the power of small businesses coming together to create something special in Edinburgh."
Tanifki will be the latest edition to Portobello's growing eateries, with sites such as Civerinos Slice quickly seeing huge queues along the promenade after opening this month.
New seafood restaurant Joppa Rocks is also set to be a popular site for diners when it opens this summer.
