Edinburgh anti-Covid vaccine passport protester spotted in weird stunt by the Forth

Edinburgh protesters took to the streets over the weekend to oppose the Covid vaccine certificate, with one member in particular sticking out with their scary mask and flashing LED lights.

Huge crowds descended onto the Royal Mile and other parts of the city centre to make their voices heard.

Crowds made their feelings clear as some of the signs being held up included messages such as: "No mandated vaccine passports", "Do not comply," and "Enough is enough."

A TikTok posted by 'scotsagainstvacpassports' showed the masked figure ringing a bell whilst being lit up in the darkness with coloured LED lights around a high visibility jacket.

The caption simply read: "How legends are made - Call to the capital; the mystery continues."

The figure appears to be standing next to the Queensferry Crossing as the iconic Forth Bridge can be seen in the background.

On Saturday The protesters were seen walking up Waverley Bridge to complete their march on Princes Street, after travelling from the Royal Mile down to the main retail street in the capital.

Scottish, Canadian and Union Jack flags were seen billowing in the wind, with the main banner at the front of the parade reading: "Freedom - Enough is Enough."

This was not the first march against the Covid certificate scheme. Last year, Edinburgh Live covered a similar demonstration after the announcement was made for large scale events to check the vaccination status of those attending.

Scottish Government laws came into force in October which legally required all those attending certain large scale events and clubs to have official proof of both vaccinations.

As a result, capital nightclubs have taken on the law, with customers requiring confirmation on the NHS Scotland Covid status app.
