As holidays abroad remain off the cards for the foreseeable future, for many Scots a ‘staycation’ on a UK campsite or at a caravan park has never looked more likely.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club announced that they will now be opening the majority of their campsites from 10 July in Scotland and we're excited to pack up our tent and get outdoors ( weather permitting).
However it is worth noting that “the facility blocks on campsites in Scotland will be closed until 15 July but you can still empty your waste water at the service points.”
So if you need a shower or the loo (which we're guessing you will), it's worth holding off on pretending that you're Bear Grylls until Wednesday 15 July.
Now, other camping and caravanning clubs are making similar announcements and we are ecstatic to book a break.
