Two Scottish cities have been named by Which? members' as the top UK cities to visit this year in its annual survey of the UK's best city break destinations.
Though York came out on top overall, Edinburgh came third and scored top marks for cultural sights, accommodation and food and drink. While Glasgow was also named in sixth place, scoring highly for food and drink and value for money.
Scotland's capital had an overall score of 83% and Glasgow 78% in the Which? study which rated the UK's largest cities on factors such as accommodation, shopping, ease of getting around and lack of big crowds. Only topped by York and Belfast, they came in ahead of cities like London, Manchester and Brighton.
It wasn't all good news though as Aberdeen finished bottom of the table for the top 21 larger UK cities with an overall score of just 59%, with low scores for value for money, shopping and food and drink.

Both St Andrews and Stirling also rated highly in the smaller cities and towns categories with scores of 83% and 80% respectively.
Dundee was also praised with a score of 73% in the medium-sized cities category.
