Edinburgh Airport in Hearts Scottish Cup final tribute ahead of showdown with Celtic

Edinburgh Airport is showing it's support for Hearts this weekend by turning their control tower maroon.

Robbie Neilson's side head to Hampden tomorrow to take on Celtic in the Scottish Cup final, aiming to prevent The Hops winning a historic quadruple treble and lift the trophy themselves for the fourth time in 22 years.

And passengers flying home or elsewhere for Christmas will be left in no-doubt who Scotland's busiest airport (usually) is backing on cup final weekend.

The control tower will be lit up maroon for all to see as the airport shows it's support for it's local Scottish Championship club.

It won't be the only tribute on cup final weekend either.

As they did before their semi-final victory over Hibs, Hearts will wear the sepcially designed Frightened Rabbit Tiny Changes shirt from Bands FC during the warm up.

The top was created and sold to raise money for the mental health charity after Frightened Rabbit lead singer and Hearts fan Scott Hutchison sadly took his own life.

And the Tynecastle club will remember former captain Marius Zaliukas with every player wearing his number 26 on their shorts.

Zaliukas was the last skipper in maroon to lift the Scottish Cup back in 2012, and sadly lost his battle with motor neurone disease on the day of their semi-final triumph.
