Edinburgh Airport gets new Vienna flights with Laudamotion

Edinburgh Airport is to get new direct service to Vienna from October with Austrian low-cost carrier Laudamotion.

It will fly between the two capital cities three times a week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from October 27 until March 26, 2020, on an Airbus A320.

The service hopes to cash in on the winter sports and mini-break markets. Lauda was taken over by Michael O'Leary's Ryanair Holdings after bought former Formula 1 driver Niki Lauda's shareholding.
