Air Canada has announced that it will be relaunching its routes to Edinburgh after suspending them due to the pandemic.
In 2020, the airline announced it was discontinuing its flights in and out of Edinburgh and Glasgow amid the worsening state of Covid-19.
However, Air Canada revealed that the Edinburgh route is set to be reintroduced in June 2022 as part of its summer schedule next year.

“Our schedule will enable convenient onward travel through our Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary hubs to and from our global destinations.
He added: "Start planning ahead and book with confidence. We are sincerely looking forward to welcoming you onboard.”
Other Air Canada routes set to be reintroduced are those to and from Barcelona, Venice, Nice, and Manchester.
The airline's seasonal services to Athens, Rome and Lisbon recommenced in 2021 and will come back next spring, alongside its recently introduced Cairo service.
There has been no announcement of whether Air Canada will return to Glasgow.
