58 new properties are being built in South Gilmerton, close to the city of Edinburgh bypass.
The affordable homes are being built by Home Group who will work in partnership with Barratt Homes to bring the mid market houses to Gilmerton Heights in the south of the capital.
The new development is hoped to help with the demand for affordable housing in the popular South Edinburgh area and is a short commute to Edinburgh City Centre.
Gilmerton Heights is hoped to be fully complete by September 2022 and will consist of 45 two-bedroom flats and 13 three bedroom houses.
