Edinburgh actors wanted to play 'loud American' and 'incompetent lawyer' for murder mystery show

There's been a murder... and you can earn £70 if you're involved.

A comedy murder mystery show is coming to Edinburgh in April and actors who can think on their feet are needed for the roles.

If you're familiar with tourists on the Royal Mile it might be one for you - the descriptions are "loud American film director" or "incompetent lawyer."

Both male and female actors can apply to play the roles of "George Mucus" or "Sue Yurpantzoff", andswering questions from guests at parties who play the role of detectives.

Theatre company Laugh and Let Die say: "The bulk of your part is answering questions guests are asking you, so you have to be able to think on your feet.

"We are a comedy company and we are looking for funny people. We play it for laughs, there are no puzzles or codes to crack in our shows. We are there for the jokes.

"The show is pretty much all improvisation, so you will have to be able to think on your feet. We do have prompt questions that the detective gives to the guests to read out if they are struggling (which is often!), so you can have some ready made responses up your sleeve."

There's a flat fee of £70 and the closing date is April 4. You can find our more and apply via Mandy.com here.
