The 17-year-old youth charged with causing an horrific accident at Edgeworth on Saturday that left 10 people in hospital had only recently been put on a good behavior bond for mid-range drink driving and stealing a motor vehicle.
The youth, who faces 15 charges resulting from the accident, appeared in Broadmeadow Children's Court on Monday via video link.
The charges include three counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, eight counts of causing bodily harm by misconduct, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, driving while disqualified, and not stopping before lights at a red light.
No pleas have been entered.

The court heard police were unable to finalise the charges given the condition of 24-year-old Tamika Wever, who was thrown from the front seat of a maxi-taxi when it was struck by a car driven by the 17-year-old.
Ms Wever who suffered massive head injuries remained in a critical condition in John Hunter Hospital on Monday evening.
Police noticed the Holden Statesman driven by the 17-year-old leaving a service station on Main Road, Edgeworth just after 1am on Saturday. They did a U-turn and began following it due to its manner of driving.
Moments later the car allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of Garth Street and collided with a maxi-taxi, which had six people on board.
The court heard police allege the 17-year-old knew he was being followed and was attempting to evade police when the accident occurred.
Magistrate Nell Skinner rejected a bail application citing the fact that the youth was already on a bond, the seriousness of the charges and the safety of the community.
"You were in court a month ago on driving matters," Magistrate Skinner said.
"I appreciate how much you want to get out but I'm not going to let you out."
When asked how he was feeling, the 17-year-old responded "Good".
The matter was adjourned until October 26.
Ms Wever is a mother of three children.
Her fiance Dylan Whitey, who was also in the maxi-taxi, was discharged from hospital on Sunday with a broken femur.
The taxi driver, a 46-year-old man, suffered serious internal injuries and remains in hospital.
Another female passenger, 42, also suffered serious injuries as did three passengers in the Holden, including two 14-year-old girls.
Police have since launched a critical incident investigation into the crash.
A GoFundMe page has been established to assist Ms Wever's family.
