Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best midfielders in the world, according to his Man City teammate Ederson.
Following on from an injury plagued campaign last year, De Bruyne has started this season like a man who is desperate to make up for lost time.
City themselves have faltered in the league following on from last year's treble triumph and it's scary to think where they might be without the brilliant Belgian.
He is the top scoring midfielder in the Premier League with six strikes to his name already, having scored enough unbelievable strikes to take up a good portion of the goal of the season nominations.
De Bruyne also has the most assists in the league by far, having notched up 10 already with his nearest challenger being Tottneham's Heung-min Son on seven.
The playmaker has been one of the standout players in the Premier League this season with not many rivaling him as the best in England, and Ederson believes he's in the top three best midfielders in the world.
“We are all aware of Kevin De Bruyne's quality," the Brazilian said.
"He is an extraordinary player. He finish well with both feet, he is very good at crossing balls and he has an amazing vision to give the key pass. He is a very important player for us, both in the creation and the finishing.
"He has been contributing a lot to the team this season and I hope he can keep the same level. To me, he is in the top-three of best midfielders in the world.
"He has been playing at a really high level not only this season, but also in the previous ones. I think it's well deserved for him to be considered among the best three midfielders in the world at the moment."
