Eden Hazard 'too cheap' at £100m, but Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri admits Real Madrid transfer fears

Maurizio Sarri says a £100million fee is “too cheap” for Eden Hazard after another sublime performance from the Chelsea star.

Hazard scored twice in a 2-0 win over West Ham on Monday night, opening the scoring with a wonderful solo effort after 24 minutes before wrapping the win up in injury time.

The 28-year-old will have just 12 months remaining on his contract by the end of the season with Zinedine Zidane eager to bring him to Real Madrid.

Chelsea are demanding a fee in excess of £100m for their talisman – a figure that falls short of Sarri’s own valuation.

“When Hazard is able to play like this in matches, we’re very lucky as it’s easy to win the match. He’s able to make the difference,” Sarri told Sky Sports.

“It’s too cheap in this market. I have no idea but we have seen it’s very hard to change Hazard with another player.”

But Sarri admitted the club may find it difficult to convince the player to stay.

“We will try anyway to convince him but it is not easy."
