Eden Hazard slated by Real Madrid fans over damning performance against Spurs

Eden Hazard's transfer to Real Madrid was one of the more closely followed transfer stories of the summer.

After months of speculation, the Belgian completed a £130m move to the Spain from Stamford Bridge earlier in the window. Hazard was Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane's top summer target, and there was a lot of excitement around the Bernabeu when the transfer was made official.

The 28-year-old spent seven seasons at Stamford Bridge, lighting up the Premier League with his performances. During his time at Chelsea he won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup and two Europa Leagues, including lifting the trophy in his final appearance in a blue shirt.

Since completing his big money move, Hazard has been settling in in his new surroundings and has started four consecutive friendly games for his new club, donning the squad number 50 on his back, although his number is expected to change ahead of the new La Liga campaign.

The former Chelsea man was named in the starting line up for Real Madrd's Audi Cup tie against Tottenham on Tuesday where he would be hoping to make a good impression with his new fans, after reports emerged that he returned to pre-season overweight.

However, the half didn't go as planned, as Real Madrid went in trailing by one goal and Madrid fans were quick to pick out the poor performance of the new arrival.

Take a look at some of the reaction below.

Hazard scored 110 goals in 352 appearances during his time at Chelsea and will be hoping to emulate them numbers at Real Madrid.
