Former Chelsea star Eden Hazard has risked angering Real Madrid supporters once again.
The 30-year-old, now in his second full season in Spain after completing an £83.53m move in the summer of 2019, is facing yet another spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury sustained in a training session this week.
Hazard has already missed the last seven Real Madrid games through injury and Marca report he has been dealt another setback in his bid to return, previously scheduled to be next week.
In addition, the report does not provide any details on when he is now expected to return, but it's more bad news for the former Chelsea star.
And this latest setback is unlikely to improve his standing amongst some Los Blancos supporters.
Injuries have stopped Hazard from performing at his best for Real Madrid on a consistent basis and in January, as reported by Football Espana, a poll taken by Marca showed that a large section of fans believed he should be dropped from the starting XI or sold.
The report stated that 44 percent of fans believe the best scenario is for Hazard and Los Blancos to part ways at the earliest convenience after anger at his performances.
Luckily for Hazard, he could always return to Chelsea if Real Madrid fans get their way and he has already teased doing exactly once he's finished up in the Spanish capital.
Back in December 2019, Blues supporter Frank Khalid caught up with Hazard whilst the winger was recovering from injury and the latter did not hide his desire to play for Chelsea again.
With that said, a timescale on Hazard potentially returning to west London has already been revealed by the Belgium international as he plans to continue playing until his mid-30's
"I'm just hoping to play football for as long as possible, and I always try to enjoy myself on the pitch," he told On The Front Foot. "When it comes to the end of my career I can look back at my achievements, but my priority now is playing well and enjoying my football.
"I don’t think about where I will be in the next few years, I try to focus on the next match and the next training session.
"I've only just turned 30 so as long as my body feels good, hopefully, I can keep playing for at least another five or six years."
Taking those plans into consideration, the window for a potential Hazard to Chelsea return will remain open until 2027 at the latest.
