Eden Hazard's Real Madrid shirt number confirmed after £130m Chelsea exit

Real Madrid have handed Eden Hazard the no.7 shirt after the midfielder's £130million move from Chelsea was confirmed.

Hazard finally completed his desired move to the Spanish giants on Friday night, becoming their club-record signing in the process after joining for an initial €100m (£89m).

The Belgian will now take the no.7 shirt at the Santiago Bernabeu, becoming the first player since Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus last summer to don the number.

Ronaldo wore the shirt for seven seasons, with club legend Raul wearing it for the 13 seasons before that.

Hazard is currently on international duty with Belgian for Euro 2020 qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Scotland.

His first match for Real Madrid could be against Bayern Munich in the International Champions Cup at the NRG Stadium in Houston.

The 28-year-old's final match for Chelsea was the Europa League Final in which in scored twice in a 4-1 win over Arsenal.
