Eden Hazard’s big reveal to Arsenal rival over his Chelsea exit for Real Madrid

Eden Hazard appears finally set to join Real Madrid.

The Guardian report that a €100m (£88.5m) plus add-ons has been agreed between Chelsea and Los Blancos has been agreed.

The Belgian has appeared ready to depart Stamford Bridge after he told BT Sport he believed that it was farewell following the Europa League final win over Arsenal.

Hazard said: "I think it's a goodbye but in football you never know. We will decide in a few days - the only target in my mind was to win this final. Maybe now it is the time for a new challenge.

"My dream was to play in the Premier League and I have done that for one of the biggest clubs."

That is not believed to be the only thing Hazard said concerning his future that night however.

The 28-year-old was in conversation with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the tunnel ahead of the clash in Baku and it appears his exit from London was on his mind. The forward sounded exhausted by his time with Chelsea.

Hazard reportedly told the striker:"I gave my life, my legs, my buttocks, everything."

Reports in Spain at the weekend suggested that Madrid were hoping to complete negotiations over the coming days, to sort out the switch before Hazard reported for international duty with Belgium.

However, despite Real Madrid's chief executive Jose Angel Sanchez reportedly meeting with Chelsea officials to discuss the deal on Monday, the La Liga giants' reluctance to meet the Blues' asking price delayed the deal being done.

That hurdle now appears to have been overcome so it remains to be seen whether the transfer is announced imminently or whether they will wait until next week to unveil their new asset.
