Eden Hazard reveals why it is 'hard' for him at Chelsea amid Real Madrid transfer links

Eden Hazard will be making the headlines between now and the summer transfer window opening.

The Belgian star makes the headlines most weeks, leading Chelsea on the pitch, while rumours around his future continue to swirl off the pitch.

Hazard has never been shy of admitting his desire to play for Real Madrid one day, and there was plenty of speculation last summer about if he would move to the Bernabeu.

The Blues stood firm, but Los Blancos are expected to return with another bid this summer.

And Chelsea may struggle to keep hold of their star man, whose contract runs out in the summer of 2020. If he does not sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge, he would be free to leave on a free next year.

Amid all the talk of a move away from west London, Hazard has admitted that there is one issue that makes it "hard" for the player to stay at Chelsea.

Speaking to ESPN , Hazard said: "I'm just focused on Chelsea.

"One month to play, top four, try to win the Europa League. For the fans I think the most important thing is when they see me on the pitch they just think that my head is with Chelsea.

"So we'll see after.

"Two years in a row not playing Champions League is hard for the players but also for the club.

"Chelsea has to play in Champions League every year, but it's hard because we are not the only team that is trying to play Champions League.

"But that's why we are doing everything at the moment to try and stay in the top four."
