Eden Hazard reveals which Man City star he voted PFA Player of the Year

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has revealed he voted for Sergio Aguero in the PFA Player of the Year awards.

Aguero, who was included in the PFA Team of the Year, has scored 31 times in 44 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side so far this season, and was a part of a six-man shortlist for the gong - along with team-mates Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva -  before eventually beaten to the award by Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk.

But Hazard believes Aguero, who has reached the 30-goal mark in four separate seasons with the Blues, and is among the top 10 scorers in Premier League history, is one of the most consistent players in the league.

How Raheem Sterling won Pep Guardiola's respect at Man City

"I voted for Sergio Aguero - not because he scored a hat trick against us! He has been playing in the Premier League for eight years now and in that time he is the guy who is always consistent,” Hazard told Chelsea’s matchday programme.

"Sometimes he is injured, but when he's on the pitch, he's scoring a lot of goals. So, for me, he is the best."

Aguero will be hoping to help his side to their second successive Premier League title when they take on Leicester at the Etihad on Monday night.

A win for Guardiola's men would see them move back to the top of table with just one game to go.
