Eden Hazard returns to Real Madrid training after injury as competitive debut looms

Eden Hazard has returned to full training with Real Madrid and is in line to make his competitive debut for the club after the international break.

The former Chelsea attacker, who signed for Los Blancos in a €100 million deal (plus a possible €30m in add-ons) in June, has not made an official start after picking up a thigh problem on the eve of his side's season opener away to Celta Vigo last month.

As well as missing that 3-1 win, the Belgian international also sat out the draws against Valladolid and Villarreal, but he was back in action with his team-mates at Valdebebas on Friday.

Hazard could be seen in action in a video posted by Real Madrid on social media and in photos on the club's official website.

The 28-year-old, who was criticised by the Spanish press for returning to training in alleged poor shape over the summer, could make his debut in Madrid's LaLiga game at home to Levante next Saturday.

Gareth Bale is suspended for that match after his red card at Villarreal last Sunday, so Hazard could be in line to replace the Welsh winger in the line-up at the Santiago Bernabeu.
