Eden Hazard reacts on Instagram ahead of Chelsea reunion after making Real Madrid return

Eden Hazard is in line to face Chelsea this week.

The former Blues star has endured a tough time at Real Madrid following his move to the La Liga giants in the summer of 2019, with persistent injuries preventing him from showing his best form.

But the worst could finally be behind him and that might just be bad news for Thomas Tuchel's side ahead of two massive games against the Spanish outfit.

Hazard made a 15-minute cameo appearance as Los Blancos were held to a goalless draw by Real Betis - just days before facing Chelsea in the first-leg of their Champions League semi-final.

It remains to be seen how much involvement Hazard gets on Tuesday night as well as on May 5 for the return meeting at Stamford Bridge.

That decision is up to Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, but it would appear that the 30-year-old has recovered from his latest injury setback at the best possible time for Madrid.

And the Belgium international is raring for more minutes on the pitch.

As seen in the Instagram posts below, ahead of and after making his return to action, Hazard was active on social media.

Although, it wasn't to discuss playing against his former club, but rather to react to being named in a Real Madrid matchday squad for the first time since mid-March and well as making a substitute appearance.

"Back," Hazard wrote on his Instagram stories ahead of kick-off before using the hashtag #halamadrid in another post of him with the ball at his feet against Betis.

Speaking after his side dropped points in the La Liga title race, Zidane delivered a glowing verdict on the Belgian's 15-minute cameo performance and revealed his plans for the 30-year-old.

“I liked [Eden] Hazard’s performance," Zidane said as per Football Espana. "He can be a very important player for us, he can contribute a lot to us."

Meanwhile, if Hazard does feature against Chelsea, then his wish from 2019 will come true.

"Chelsea and especially Chelsea fans will always be special to me and next season I will look for your results first," he said.

"I hope that we are drawn against each other in the Champions League and every season so we can meet again."
