Eden Hazard, Marcelo Brozovic - The latest Chelsea transfer rumours ahead of January window

The transfer window is fast approaching.

Chelsea are typically big spenders, and they may need to further strengthen their squad in January if something worthwhile presents itself in the market.

Equally, there may be opportunity for some players to leave in the near future.

The likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are out of contract at the end of the season, whilst some others have been linked with moves away.

With that in mind, let's take a look at some of the latest rumours out there.

Goal

What?

Carlo Ancelotti won't stop Hazard from leaving Los Blancos if he decides it's the best thing for his career.

"Never in my career as a coach have I forced a player to stay when they want to leave," Ancelotti said. "In my own personal opinion I don't have any doubts about that."

Who?

Marcelo Brozovic

Where?

The Sun

What?

Newcastle United have entered the race to sign Marcelo Brozovic.

The Croatian was linked with a move to Chelsea earlier this month.

It is understood that Brozovic’s contract with Serie A champions Inter is out of contract in the summer.

The report does explain, though, that the central midfielder would ideally like to stay in Italy. He is asking for £5million a year on a new contract from current club Inter, which works out at around £96,000-a-week.

Who?

Malang Sarr

Where?

The Telegraph

What?

Malang Sarr could leave Chelsea on loan in January as he needs more top-level experience in order to establish himself in the first team at Stamford Bridge, according to the defender's agent, Federico Pastorello.

"I see in Malang the same attitude, the same focus, the same talent as Azpi when he joined Chelsea," he said.

"That’s setting the bar so high and, of course, Malang needs to improve on the tactical side because Azpi is a genius, he’s a professor. But, like I was with Azpi, I’m 100% sure that he will end up being a player for Chelsea.”
