Eden Hazard is part of the Chelsea squad travelling to Minsk for Thursday’s Europa League clash against BATE Borisov.

Blues head coach Mauricio Sarri had considered sparing the Belgium international the 3,200-mile round trip following his recent back injury.

Hazard missed three matches with the knock picked up in the draw against Manchester United before returning off the bench in the victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday.

But the forward is part of the group flying out to Belarus this afternoon.

Sarri has opted to rest Hazard for the majority of Chelsea’s Europa League campaign. The forward has featured for just 36 minutes so far this season after coming off the bench in the home tie against Vidi.

The Belgian has scored eight times this season, contributing four assists.

Victory in Belarus will seal Chelsea’s qualification for the knockout stages of the competition having won all three of their group games to date, conceding just once.
