Eden Hazard confirms plans to leave Chelsea after Europa League final win

Chelsea star Eden Hazard confirmed he expects to leave the club after their Europa League final win.

The Belgian ace scored twice to lead the Blues to a 4-1 win over Arsenal to claim European honours at the end of the campaign.

Hazard is expected to join Real Madrid in the summer - and he confirmed after the game he believes lifting the Europa League trophy was a goodbye to the Premier League.

"Yes, I think it's a goodbye," Hazard told BT Sport. "But in football you never know.

"My dream was to play in the Premier League, I did this for seven years, and in the biggest club in the world.

"Now maybe it's time for a new challenge."

Hazard confirmed he has already made a decision on his future and is now waiting for Real Madrid and Chelsea to finalise terms over his transfer in the coming days.

But he insisted his focus was simply on leading the Blues to Europa League victory in their all-Premier League clash against the Gunners.

"I don't know yet, I think we'll decide in a few days," Hazard stated.

"My target today was to win the trophy, that's it, that's the only thing that was on my mind.

"I told my decision already, I said that two weeks ago, now it just depends on the clubs.

"Both clubs. I'm just waiting, like you wait, the fans wait.

"You will know in a couple of days."

The 28-year-old joined Chelsea from Lille back in 2012 and has enjoyed a stunning career at Stamford Bridge.

He's now expected to lead Real Madrid's rebuild following the return of Zinedine Zidane as manager as they look to rebuild after a miserable La Liga campaign.
