Eden Hazard is too good for Chelsea. That has become abundantly clear over the last season or two as the Belgian has ascended to the top of international soccer while the Blues have devolved from a club that was once a perennial Champions League contender to one that scratches and claws just to qualify for the competition.
With Real Madrid courting the Chelsea star, a summer move away from Stamford Bridge is almost a certainty at this point. But fans in West London are still holding out hope, as you’ll see in this fan-shot video that shows Chelsea fans pleading with Hazard to stay.
You have to give Hazard credit for not providing Blues fans with false hope. If you listen closely, you can actually hear Hazard’s GPS saying “starting route to Madrid” in the background. OK, that’s a lie, but it might as well be the case.
If Hazard does leave for a bigger club this summer, his last Premier League game as a member of Chelsea will take place this weekend when they take on Leicester City.
