Eden Hazard has delivered an update on his future amid Real Madrid exit and Chelsea return links.
Hazard has struggled for Los Blancos since his more than £100million move from Chelsea in 2019, missing no fewer than 59 games through injury so far.
The Belgian has managed just 30 La Liga appearances, scoring only four goals to date, and those poor fitness and goal records have led to talk of him being sold ahead of next season.
Talk of a possible Chelsea return has followed, but it seems Hazard is hell-bent on proving himself at Real Madrid despite his struggles so far.
"I don't see myself leaving Real Madrid right away," he said in a Belgium press conference.
"My first two years weren't great due to injuries. When I'm fit, I can do great things for the clubs.
"Now I want to think about the European Championship first. Then I will give everything for Real."
Reflecting on his season, he added: "Everything went well from the start of my career. I have never had many injuries.
"It has been different for a year and a half. I know that I cannot put everything on bad luck, but it has been a lot. The corona crisis, the injuries.
"I was always strong when I could play many matches in a row. Now that was not possible. I am close to my good level. I just have to do match rhythm now. I do everything I can to not get injured."
Hazard could be forgiven for lacking confidence after a poor campaign, but he is looking forward, concentrating on the Euros and getting back to his best.
"I try to keep the best out of myself," he said. "I have been injured at Chelsea and have come back to a good level. I just need match rhythm. I don't have many minutes in the legs, I have to deal with that."
