Eden Hazard out of Belgium squad through injury in boost to Scotland

Scotland have been handed a boost ahead of their clash with Belgium with Eden Hazard ruled out.

And he’s joined on the sidelines by brother Thorgan who has also pulled out of the Red Devils squad for the Euro 2020 qualifier on September 9.

Former Chelsea star Eden is yet to make a competitive appearance for Real Madrid after making his big money move in the summer.

He’s been struggling with a thigh strain while there has also been issues with his weight.

And his younger brother Thorgan, who plays for Borussia Dortmund, suffered a rib injury in the win over Koln and will be unable to play.

Both players attended Belgium’s training camp in Tubize before being sent back to Madrid and Dortmund for further treatment after being checked over by medical staff.

They are joined on the injury list by Koen Casteels, with the back-up goalkeeper being replaced by Hendrik Van Crombrugge.
