Eden Hazard believes Christian Pulisic has what it takes to become one of the best players in the world after joining Chelsea.
The 20-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge in a £58 million deal from Borussia Dortmund this summer, having agreed the move in January.
The American starlet has been tipped to fill the void left by Hazard, who joined Real Madrid earlier this summer after seven years in west London.
While Pulisic has distanced himself from such comparisons, the Belgian star believes the Blues' new signing has what it takes to follow in his footsteps and become one of the best in Europe.
"[Pulisic] can be one of the best in the future for sure," Hazard told The Associated Press.
"He can be [a star]. Now he's at one of the best clubs in the world... he's a proper player."
Hazard's comments echo those uttered by Pulisic's national team coach, Greg Berhalter, who earlier this month said the winger is destined for great things with the right guidance.
“He [Pulisic] has the ability to influence the game from different positions and can unlock defences whether as a No 10 or going wide," Berhalter said.
“With the coaching he’ll get in England, he has an incredibly bright future."
Pulisic made his Chelsea debut as a substitute in the 1-0 defeat against Kawasaki Frontale on the club's tour of Japan.
But the Blues supporters got a better look at the USA international when he made his first start in the 2-1 win over Barcelona, impressing in the 60 minutes he played before being substituted.
