Eden Hazard assessment made as Chelsea lead race to secure dream £32million midfield transfer

Chelsea favourite Eden Hazard has been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge after falling out of favour under Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

Hazard was a huge success during his time in England but a number of injury issues since moving to the continent have set him back significantly. His Belgium teammate and Crystal Palace forward Christian Benteke has sought to explain how the player has changed as the rumours persist.

"Eden has an injury history now & is avoiding more contact. When you carry such a past, you unconsciously think about it," Benteke said of the winger.

"But because he's no longer dribbling 5/6 men doesn't mean he can't turn games to his will."

Aurelien Tchouameni wants Chelsea move

The Monaco midfielder is thought to be on Chelsea's wishlist as Thomas Tuchel looks to strengthen his midfield unit.

According to TEAMtalk, Tchouameni is keen on moving to Stamford Bridge, but they will need to fend off competition from a number of clubs.

However, Chelsea have reportedly moved to the front in the race to land Tchouameni, who is valued at £31.5million on Transfermarkt.

Spanish outlet Marca have reported that the Blues interest has become 'urgent' and, even with Manchester United and Juventus registering an interest, are most likely to land the midfielder.

Smith Rowe's message to Conor Gallagher

After England hammered San Marino 10-0 on Monday night, Arsenal attacker Emile Smith Rowe interrupted Conor Gallagher's interview to congratulate him on his senior debut.

"Well played. You're a legend," the Arsenal man could be heard saying before giving his teammate a pat on the back.

"Congrats on the goal," Gallagher responded.

Smith Rowe then ended the interaction by saying: "Congrats on the debut, you deserved it."
