To say that Chicago has been hungry for a kicker would be the understatement of the last few years.
Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro went from zero to hero following his 53-yard game-winning field goal that led Chicago to a 16-14 win over the Broncos on Sunday.
Pineiro was named Snickers’ “Hungriest Player of the Week” for his Week 2 performance against Denver.
Pineiro was perfect on the day, connecting on all three of his field goal attempts, including two from beyond 50 yards. Pineiro, who leads the Bears in scoring, is a perfect 4-for-4 on the season.
After failed kicker after failed kicker — and the infamous double doink — Chicago looks like it might’ve found its answer at kicker with Pineiro.
