It's time for some exciting moves as none other than the "Indomitable Flash" is making his debut to Tekken 8. That's right! Eddy Gordo is more than ready to bring those fancy moves. He'll be the first ever playable DLC character since the game was released back in January.

Eddy joins the roster on April 4. Those who bought the Tekken 8 Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition get early access beginning April 1 at 7:00 p.m. EDT. A skilled capoeira user, Eddy has placed himself on a grueling training regimen and honed his moves to new levels of proficiency to exact his revenge against Kazuya Mishima.

Tekken Fight Pass

As part of Eddy's arrival to the game, Patch v1.03.01 is being released on April 2. One of the new features to be introduced is the Tekken Fight Pass being added to the Tekken Shop. With the Pass, players get the chance to increase their level by taking part and completing daily and weekly missions in online matches. This also lets them obtain different items.

For those able to get Premium tier, the items are not only more luxurious but can even acquire Tekken Coins, which can then be exchanged for various items in the Tekken Shop.

New Items

Speaking of the Tekken Shop, new items have been added like the new costume sets "Cyber Pack 01" and "Cyber Pack 02", which are available for all playable characters. There's also a legacy costume for Yoshimitsu. Of course, players can also look forward to the Eddy Gordo Avatar Skin.

Fixes

The new update also adds a feature to some of the modes which allow for matches to be terminated and invalidated if the network connection quality falls below certain specified conditions. In particular these are for Ranked Match, Quick Match, and Group Match.

Another change is that there's now an indication to the versus screen in Player Match mode to display when the stage has been randomly selected. Finally, a Quit option has been added to the Main Menu to let players exit the game from sources other than the options menu, though this is only for the Steam version.

Excited for the Capoeira master to arrive?

Tekken 8 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam.
