A delighted Eddie Nketiah has been speaking after grabbing a late winner in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Bayern Munich in LA.
The talented 20-year-old sealed boss Unai Emery’s second win from two games on their US tour.
The Gunners went 1-0 up after a 49th-minute own goal from Bayern defender Louis Poznanski. The Bundesliga champions levelled when attacker Robert Lewandowski nodded home a cross from former Arsenal forward Serge Gnabry.
However, Nketiah’s winner 120 seconds from time sealed the victory for a strong Gunners side to go with their comfortable 3-0 triumph over Colorado Rapids earlier this week.
"It's brilliant," he said after the club's 2-1 win. "They're such a great team and it was a great experience to come on.
"I didn't come on for long, so I just wanted to make an impact and do well. Luckily I was in the right place at the right time. I'm grateful."
"I think the play broke down a bit and I saw Tyreece dribbling down the wing," said Eddie. "I just made sure I was in a good position, a central position, and yeah it came to me and I made sure I put it away.
"Pre-season is vital," he added. "I always try to come back in tip-top shape and do my best. It's a chance. I came on today and I took my chance. That's all I can do.”

Nketiah is determined to break into the Gunners first team on a regular basis during the 2019/20 season and did his chances a world of good after landing man of the match in the showpiece friendly.
The Lewisham-born striker carried on his good form from the end of last season after grabbing his first Premier League goal on the final weekend of the season, in a 3-1 win over Burnley.
A smiling Nketiah said after being handed the award following his Stateside winner against the Bundelisiga giants: "That's going in my trophy cabinet."
Speaking to Arsenal.com he added: "I've got a few top goalscorer awards from younger ages, so that's going to slot in nicely along with those. It's a nice feeling to get this. It's a good achievement."
