Eddie Money has died at the age of 70.
The American singer, who found fame with hits in the 1970s and 80s like Two Tickets To Paradise and Take Me Home Tonight, died just weeks after revealing he had oesophageal cancer.
The hitmaker confirmed last month the disease had already progressed to stage four.
In a statement, Eddie's family revealed he had died this week.
"It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband and father. It's so hard to imagine our world without him. However he will live on forever through his music," they wrote.
Throughout his four-decade-long career, Eddie made 11 albums and sold nearly 30 million records.
He also starred in the reality TV show Real Money, which first launched in 2018.
Both he and his wife of 30 years, Laurie Money, are producers on the show.
In a clip for the second series, which was teased last month, Eddie reveals his tragic cancer news.
"I thought I was going in for a check-up and [the doctor] told me I have cancer," he says in the prophetic footage.
"We found out that I had cancer and that it was stage 4 and that it was in my liver and my lymph nodes and a little bit in my stomach… It hit me really, really hard.
"Am I gonna live a long time? Who knows, it's in God's hands. But you know what? I'll take every day I can get. Every day above ground is a good day."
Laurie was by her husband's side when he was told the devastating news.
"Eddie has been diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal cancer," she told the camera afterwards.
"It's in his oesophagus, the top of his stomach is where the tumour is and it's also spread to his liver."
The singer is survived by Laurie and their five children - Zachary, Jessica, Joseph, Julian and Desmond.
