Eddie Jones claims England training was spied on "from apartment block" ahead of All Blacks semi-final

England coach Eddie Jones has sensationally claimed England training was spied on from an apartment block ahead of the Red Rose's semi-final against the All Blacks on Saturday.

Speaking to the press in Japan, Jones also took aim at the media from New Zealand, labelling them "fans with keyboards".

Jones was in a spiky mood just days after watching his side book their place in the last four with a convincing win over Australia.

England are bidding for a first final since 2003 when Jonny Wilkinson's drop goal saw them conquer the world Down Under by beating hosts Australia.

But they will be underdogs against back-to-back world champions New Zealand, and Jones knows the size of the task at hand.

"There was definitely someone in the apartment block [across from the training ground] filming, it might have been a Japanese fan," he said.

"You just don't need to do it anymore. You can watch everyone's training on Youtube. There's absolutely no value in that anymore."

Jones did not send security personnel to investigate, and when asked why he replied: "Don't care, mate. Don't care".

"We knew from the start that they were filming and it doesn't change anything we do.

"We have two security guards - Prince Harry's… and the ex-Prime Minister's. Only those two. Lovely blokes."

Jones joked he had also sent someone to watch New Zealand train, adding: "We used to do it [secretly film opposition training sessions]. I haven't done it since 2001. There's no need.

"Everyone knows what everyone else does. There's no surprises in world rugby anymore."
