Eddie Jackson lands at No. 30 on NFL’s Top 100 of 2019

Bears GM Ryan Pace is known for nabbing late-round steals in the NFL Draft. The addition of fourth-round safety Eddie Jackson might’ve been his best, as he has impacted the Bears defense in a multitude of ways.

In just two short seasons, Jackson has already become one of the premier safeties in the league, as well as an All-Pro.

So when you’re counting down the top 100 players in the NFL, Jackson certainly has to be up there.

“If Eddie’s not on this list,” said teammate Danny Trevathan, “we’re going to need to talk to somebody.”

But fret not, Jackson joined teammates Akiem Hicks and Kyle Fuller on the list, coming in at No. 30.

“He’s a great player, I really liked him at Alabama,” said Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans. “He’s showing that he can play in this league and be one of the best. You watch film on him, and he’s always around the ball.”

In two seasons with the Bears, Jackson nabbed eight interceptions, including six in 2018, and he has scored five defensive touchdowns. In the month of November alone, he scored three.

“He’s scored more touchdowns than a lot of these offensive guys in the league,” added Packers receiver Davante Adams.

With still 20 spots left in the countdown, there’s at least one more Bear left on the list. And after two seasons, it’s clear that Jackson’s ranking of No. 30 can only go higher as he claims he’s yet to even peak.
