Leading Celtic candidate Eddie Howe reportedly wants former Scotland international Richard Hughes to join him and oversee a full Parkhead rebuild.
Record Sport revealed the 43-year-old is in advanced talks with the club and principal shareholder Dermot Desmond as he closes in on becoming the club's next boss.
And now the Daily Mail state Hughes is Howe's preferred option to shake things up off the park after head of football operations Nick Hammond left on Wednesday.
The pair worked closely together at Bournemouth during the Cherries' incredible rise from League Two all the way to the Premier League.

The report also claims Howe would have no issue with John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan remaining as part of his coaching team if he says yes to the job.
Mark Burchill could also be in line for a scouting role - the former Parkhead star is another trusted ally for their days together at Bournemouth.
Howe faces major decisions if he becomes Celtic boss with bids expected for star pair Odsonne Edouard and Kris Ajer when the window opens.
Skipper Scott Brown is heading to Aberdeen and a host of loan players such as Diego Laxalt, Jonjoe Kenny, Shane Duffy and Moi Elyounoussi are heading back to their parent club.
