Simon Jordan admits he has doubts about whether Eddie Howe is the perfect fit to be named the next manager of Celtic.
The former Crystal Palace owner appreciates the job the 43-year-old did on the south coast with Bournemouth but insists there are no guarantees he could repeat the feat in Glasgow.
Howe is the bookies favourite and arguably the top choice among supporters to carry the fight to a Rangers team who became the earliest Premiership champions in history.
Principal shareholder Dermot Desmond is undergoing a thorough search for Neil Lennon's successor and a report on Tuesday suggests Howe is "seriously interested" in the vacancy.

But Jordan doesn't believe the very best managers view a stint in Scotland as part of their rise through the managerial ranks.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "I'm not sure he has got the capabilities of managing at that level, I'm not convinced by that.
"Just because he did very well at Bournemouth isn't necessarily a shoo-in he'll manage at Celtic.

"On the flip side of that argument, I look who has gone there, over the years, and I certainly think with the greatest respect in the world that Eddie Howe is a better coach than Neil Lennon.
"So Neil Lennon presided over periods of success, look at the list of managers over that period of time that have had success, you look at Martin O'Neill, you had Gordon Strachan in there, you had Ronny Deila in there.
"I don't think (Howe) would be a bad appointment but I'm not jumping up and down and saying 'wow, that's THE appointment.'"
"But then again, there are limitations, you don't tend, correct me if I'm wrong, you don't tend to attract the best coaches in the world to Scottish football, as it is now.
"You might have done once done once upon a time when Dick Advocaat was there but not recently."
