Eddie Howe will NOT be the new manager of Celtic after talks dramatically collapsed.
The former Bournemouth manager held protracted discussions with the Parkhead club and a deal was thought to have been in place to take him to Glasgow.
But now several reports say negotiations have ended and Howe will not be making a move to Glasgow.
One report states the Premiership club are now at the "advanced stages" of appointing an alternative candidate.
But it means Celtic remain without a manager three months following Neil Lennon's resignation in February.
Previously linked candidates - such as Jesse Marsch and Enzo Maresca - have since taken jobs elsewhere.
Earlier this week, the Hoops launched their season ticket drive ahead of next season, acknowledging they had hoped to announce the new man in charge before opening renewals.
The news comes as a major blow for an expectant support after their 10 In A Row dream crashed to a shuddering end last season.
