Eddie Howe has reached an 'agreement in principle' to become the next Celtic manager and will arrive at Parkhead next week, according to a report.
The Scottish Sun suggest that only a last minute change of heart will prevent the 43-year old from taking the reigns at the Scottish Premiership club.
The fine print of a £2m a year deal has yet to be signed but Howe is keen on the deal and Record Sport reported earlier in the week that he had turned down a move to Sheffield United and another unnamed Premier League club amid interest from Glasgow.
Howe is keen to bring in Bournemouth sporting director Richard Hughes to work alongside him and a formal offer to the south coast club is in the offing.
The five times capped former Scotland international is a recruitment specialist who worked with the English coach as he kept the club in the Premier League over a remarkable five year spell.
They will face a huge rebuilding job with the Hoops set to lose several players in the summer including captain Scott Brown who has agreed a deal to join Aberdeen as part of their backroom staff.
